French-English Language at school

Bilingualism is part of daily life at École Montessori d’Uzès. Teaching is mainly conducted in French to ensure strong academic progress.

However, teachers also speak English and may use both languages during activities when it naturally fits the lesson.

The school welcomes families from different countries as well as both French-speaking and English-speaking children. This diversity creates a lively environment where everyone can share their language and culture.

French-speaking children are regularly exposed to English through interactions with teachers and classmates, especially during recess and certain learning activities. This provides gradual immersion that supports listening, understanding, and natural language learning in a caring, pressure-free environment.
